Proven reliability in detecting and identifying rodents with nearly two million images already processed.
Privacy by design with automated blurring in the unlikely event that any human faces happen to be caught.
Groundbreaking machine-learning technology automatically filters out false positives and raises alerts on activity for expert intervention.
Our camera technology is integrated into our digital ecosystem, offering quick, expert intervention.
Using sophisticated, AI-enabled technology, our camera solutions automatically detect, identify and alert our highly trained team to pest activity earlier than ever before. This allows for a more effective resolution, faster.
Small and discreet, our environmental monitoring cameras for rodents offer 100% more visibility in hard-to-reach or unmanned areas.
Customers can easily view evidence of pest activity captured by the on-site cameras via myRentokil for better transparency of what’s happening on their premises.
These advanced cameras for rodent monitoring have been designed specifically for pest control. They’re proven to be effective at supporting customer needs in a range of scenarios. For example, they can be particularly useful at sites where rodent activity has been difficult to resolve and can help technicians monitor rodent behaviour, including bait take and trap placement. They can even be used to confirm if a site has been successfully cleared of an infestation and help provide ongoing monitoring for peace of mind. Whatever the situation, PestConnect Optix offers a reliable, proactive solution that ensures you’re always one step ahead.
These small and discreet cameras feature a wide-angle lens to provide as much coverage as possible and are suitable for indoor use in difficult-to-access areas, including ceiling and roof voids, wall and floor voids, and high-risk locations, such as server/electrical rooms.
The cameras use a passive infrared (PIR) sensor that’s sensitive to changes in infrared radiation. When the sensor is triggered by rodent movement, the camera system is activated and captures an image of the area. Powered by machine learning, the technology can automatically remove images that contain nothing of interest. This will confidently present a picture of what’s happening at a site. Once pest activity is detected, the system raises an automated alert to our expert technicians, enabling them to intervene promptly.
For enhanced privacy protection, the system also includes automated blurring of any human faces, should they be captured, for GDPR compliance.

Our cameras are designed for hard-to-reach or unmanned areas prone to pest activity, such as below raised floors, above suspended ceilings or in enclosed areas. They’re not for areas with high human traffic.
In the unlikely event that images containing human faces are detected, the image-processing pipeline automatically blurs them using machine-learning detection.
Our camera solution is GDPR and global privacy law compliant, developed with a ‘data privacy by design’ approach. Images focus on pest activity, typically excluding Personally Identifiable Information (PII). However, in the unlikely event that images contain human faces, they are automatically blurred using machine learning.
