In 2016, Rentokil achieved certification for the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations’ (CEPA) new standard for pest management services. The CEPA standard is an important step for the pest control industry in aligning regulations across Europe.

In 2020, Rentokil Initial received The Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation, recognising the commercial success of Lumnia, the company's range of innovative insect light traps (ILT).
In 2019, the Lumnia range received Planet Mark certification for demonstrating 62% lower carbon emissions when compared to units containing compact fluorescent lamps.
