How much does rat control cost?

As there are a range of factors that contribute to the price of pest control, it is very difficult for us to provide you with an accurate price for our pest treatments online. Ultimately, your rat control costs will reflect the time and effort it will take to manage the problem.

The first step in determining the cost of rat control is fully understanding the issue. Damaged stock from rat activity?  Scratching noises coming from the roof? Grease smudges on surfaces?

To answer all the above questions, Rentokil will need to visit your property to inspect for rat activity. Following this, the below factors will determine the most suitable rat treatment and its associated costs.

There are two key species of rat of concern in New Zealand, the Brown Rat (or common rat) and the Black Rat.

The square footage of your property and premises will have a direct impact on the type of rat treatment used and the number of follow-up treatments required.

If many rats are present, or if there is a large amount of rat damage within your property, you may require more extensive treatment. Often, the current rat infestation will need to be managed before a permanent control solution is installed.
