Flea control

As parasites, the greatest concern about the presence of fleas in your home or business comes from their bites. Although these are not painful, they can result in an uncomfortable itch or rash.

At Rentokil, we offer safe, effective treatments for your home or business to ensure complete control of your infestation.  Our expert local technicians understand the habits of flea species, ensuring targeted treatments to get rid of all fleas.

Flea insecticide spray

Synthetic Pyrethroid spray and Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) deliver an effective treatment targeting fleas and flea breeding areas. Ideal for hard-to-reach cracks and crevices, carpets, mats, wooden, vinyl and tiled floors where fleas may be harbouring. The adults present at time of treatment will be killed by the adulticide and any hatch-outs will be controlled very quickly.

Pet flea treatment*

All pets in the house must also be treated with a flea control product or they will continue to reinfest the house.  Please consult your veterinarian for appropriate treatments.

*Please note: this is not a service carried out by Rentokil but an extremely important step for effective treatment of flea infestations.

WHERE DOES THIS GO?

How much does flea control cost?

Your flea control costs will ultimately reflect the time and effort it will take to manage them in your home or business. The first step in determining the cost of fleas control is fully understanding the problem.

To answer all the above questions, Rentokil will need to visit your property to inspect for fleas. Following this, the below factors will determine the most suitable flea treatment and its associated costs.

Type of flea

Identifying the type and size of flea infestation plays a key role in the solutions your Rentokil technician will recommend.

Size of premises

The square meterage of your property and premises will have a direct impact on the type of flea treatment used and the number of follow-up treatments required.

Severity of flea infestation

If many fleas are present, you may require more extensive treatment, including revisits. This will have an impact on flea treatment cost.
