Our Flexi Armour Rodent Proofing range is a highly effective proofing solution, providing impenetrable barriers to entry. It reduces the potential risks of rodent infestations within premises, which in turn reduces the need to use rodenticides to control rodents.
We utilise the application of steam to effectively eradicate active bed bug populations in items such as mattresses, draperies, and furniture. This method is not only highly efficient but also environmentally friendly, as it uses only water and no additional chemicals, making it a safe option for households and businesses. Our steam treatment is carried out by licensed, trained, and professional experts who adhere to the strict guidelines set by the National Environment Agency (NEA), ensuring the highest standards of service and safety.
PestConnect provides a real-time warning system for rodent monitoring and control. It offers 24x7 effective monitoring and fast control of rodent pests, saving customers time and money dealing with costly infestations. With this solution, we’ve achieved up to a 40% reduction in rodenticide usage.

We’re constantly innovating to bring to market new products, such as the energy saving Lumnia range of LED fly control units, that enable more-effective pest control with less environmental impact. We’re applying our expertise to outsmart pests with more energy-efficient and recyclable solutions that use fewer resources and are less reliant on chemicals.
Our global centre for science and innovation is at the forefront of behavioural science and observational research uncovering new, more effective ways to identify and target pests without harming the environment. 100% of the pipeline solutions we are bringing to market will have a positive impact on our environmental performance.
In 2024, we sold 1,025 Lumnia Insect Light Traps, a 1% increase from 2023. Lumnia is the world’s first range of insect traps that utilize energy-efficient LED technology to attract and control flying insects in a hygienic manner.
Lumnia delivers 62% lower carbon emissions than traditional fluorescent bulbs, helping our customers save electricity and reduce their environmental impact. To date, Lumnia has contributed to over 38,700 tonnes* of CO₂-equivalent electricity savings, demonstrating our commitment to providing sustainable and effective pest control solutions.
Rodent Tracking Gel is a monitoring solution that aids the detection of rodent infestations by tracking their movement using UV light. This enables more targeted treatments with less risk of waste and more efficient use of pesticides.
We’re analysing all aspects of our operations, workplaces and supply chain, to build a culture of sustainability throughout the company to ensure we’re proactively taking measures to reduce our environmental impact.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s transitioning to electric vehicles across our fleet, switching to green energy tariffs across our properties or choosing to source from sustainable suppliers, we’re taking proactive steps to deliver on our net zero commitments.
In 2024, Rentokil Singapore expanded its fleet with 26 new electric vans (EVs), replacing older diesel vehicles. This marks a remarkable 640% increase from just five EVs in 2023.
These new EVs save 855 liters of diesel each year, preventing approximately 2.1 tonnes of CO₂e emissions from entering the atmosphere annually. By switching from diesel vans to electric models and resizing from Hiace to NV200, Rentokil Singapore has achieved a total CO₂e reduction of 215 tonnes.
Additionally, fuel consumption was reduced by 2% in 2024, with a 4% improvement in fuel efficiency per kilometer traveled, further demonstrating our commitment to sustainable operations.
At Rentokil Initial, we are committed to responsible sourcing and environmental sustainability. Our Supplier Code of Conduct (COC) has been fully implemented, with 100% of existing and new major suppliers completing, receiving, and signing the agreement.
Furthermore, 20% of new major suppliers hold ISO 14001 certification, reflecting our dedication to high environmental standards. We actively collaborate with our suppliers to reduce their climate impact and enhance the sustainability of our products.
In 2024, we achieved a 6% reduction in energy usage across our properties compared to 2023, demonstrating our commitment to lowering overall energy consumption.
Our energy intensity also improved by 8% in 2024, highlighting our efforts toward more efficient energy use. Additionally, we increased our LED lighting by 4%, ensuring that all damaged lights were replaced with energy-efficient LEDs.
To further enhance our sustainability, motion sensors have been installed in all staircases at our Head Office, reducing unnecessary energy usage and supporting our environmental goals.
Our aim is to measure and reduce the waste we generate as a business to zero landfill and incineration, while increasing the use of recycled materials in our products and across our operations.
We are committed to reducing the environmental impact from waste. Our goal is for 100% of our waste material to be reused, recycled or repurposed for conversion into energy by 2035. To ensure full accountability, we’ve also put in place plans to better measure our waste across our major markets.
Following successful trials, we've removed two grams of virgin plastic from every soap and UltraProtect™ bottle, saving an estimated four tonnes of plastic waste annually from going to landfill. By switching to using 30% recycled plastic in all medical waste bags, we're saving an estimated 80 tonnes of virgin plastic annually.
In 2024, we achieved a 16% reduction in D-size battery usage, contributing to our commitment to sustainability and waste reduction.
We’re moving to 100% reusable, recyclable or repurposed packaging by 2035. Through intelligent waste reduction we’ve already removed 10 tonnes of waste packaging across operations.
We build long-term partnerships that support greater biodiversity and benefit the environment for future generations.
As a leader in global pest control, we recognise the importance of acting responsibly and use our resources, scale and influence to proactively protect the environment. That’s why we’ve established relationships with environmental charities and communities across the world to support their work in preventing deforestation, promoting biodiversity and fighting the climate crisis.
Through our partnership with environmental charity Cool Earth, we’re supporting communities in Papua New Guinea, Mozambique and Cameroon, to protect 42,000 hectares of rainforest, equivalent to 8 million tonnes of stored carbon.
In Cameroon, community outreach sessions have helped to reduce the number of small-scale illegal timber exploiters from 28 to only eight, and significantly reduced the loss of valuable tree species such as obeche, mahogany and sapele.
Our partnership with Australia’s Rainforest Rescue is helping protect and restore Daintree Rainforest, the world’s most ancient and diverse rainforest. We’ve contributed to planting over 19,000 trees in the Buy Back and Protect Forever Project.
