EXTERRA REQUIEM Termite Bait
REQUIEM® Termite Bait is the registered bait component of the EXTERRA Termite Colony Elimination System.

Health & Safety
It is an odorless, off-white powder with proprietary feeding additives. The product is considered non-toxic to people and pets. So you don't have to worry if the bait will be consumed accidentally, given the fact that the bait will be encapsulated inside in-ground or above-ground stations.
Effects are immediate
Termites that attempt to moult after ingesting an amount sufficient to impair their moulting process either die or are incapacitated by their inability to complete the moulting process. It has been shown in trials that once feeding on REQUIEM commences, the termites do not usually cause further timber damage.
Eliminate at the root
By station re-inspection and re-baiting, termite workers will find the bait addictive and bring the bait back to the nest. REQUIEM acts primarily on termites that moult. The queen (and king) are usually the last to die in the process of colony elimination. REQUIEM also reduces the viability of any eggs laid by the queen. Nymphs do not hatch since the eggs are sterile.

How We Apply Exterra Bait In Your Premises
The EXTERRA In-ground Station
The EXTERRA In-ground Station is designed to enhance termite transition to, and consumption of, REQUIEM.
The Interceptors provide a food source for termites that establishes termite activity within the Station. After interception of a termite colony, REQUIEM will be made continuously available for colony consumption by placing the bait in the vacant centre cavity of the Station and replenishing it for as long as termite activity remains in the Station. A major benefit of the patented design used in the EXTERRA In-ground Station is that the inspection of the Station for termite activity can occur whilst minimising the need for disturbing the termites.
In-ground Stations can also be placed inside buildings with internal gardens。
In-concrete Stations
Often properties are surrounded by concrete paths, so Stations need to be placed in the concrete. This requires core drilling of the concrete. Access to the cavity is secured using a stainless-steel plug that gives a waterproof and tamper-resistant seal.
EXTERRA Above-ground Stations
Termites are also baited using Above-ground Stations. Above-ground Stations are a valuable tool, particularly when termites are already infesting a structure and a point of active feeding can be located.
The EXTERRA Above-ground Stations are box-shaped with straight sides, made of rigid plastic with a removable cover. The cover is held in place with tamper-resistant screws. The Station is mounted against a structural element containing termite activity. Termites enter the Station through termite entry holes formed in the bottom of the Station and once inside the Station consume the REQUIEM that has been placed there

Termite inspections
Termite inspections should be conducted at least annually, and more frequently depending on the termite species suspected, building construction type, environmental conditions, property location and geography, and history of any termite-related issues within or surrounding the property.
The results of termite inspections are delivered in a detailed written report and include as a minimum:
- Termites detection or non-detection
- Environmental or conducive conditions for termites
- Any termite damage found during the inspection
- All areas that had limited access or were restricted for the inspection
- Any risk factors that may increase the chances of a termite infestation

In-ground monitoring and baiting
In-ground termite stations are installed in strategically important points around your property, applied to areas at most risk of attracting termites, such as moist soil or mulch, old tree stumps, irrigation sprinkler heads and downspouts. For some devices, they are inspected regularly and when active termites are detected, a baiting program will commence. Other devices contain active baits and are inspected regularly regardless of whether there is termite activity.
Worker termites take bait - which contains termiticide - back to their nests as a food source, feeding it to and shortly collapsing the colony.

Above-ground monitoring and baiting
Above-ground termite monitoring involves the use of unobtrusive termite bait stations, which are placed on identified feeding sites and are then removed once the colony is eliminated.

Termite soil treatment and spot treatment
The treatment involves applying a liquid chemical, a termiticide, to the soil, either under the concrete flooring or around the entire perimeter and foundations of the building to create a continuous and complete solid barrier.
