Step 1 - What to do now

  • Ensure infested rooms are kept closed upon the detection of bed bugs.

Step 2 - What you need to do before your service

  • Where possible, beds and other infected areas should be dismantled to allow thorough treatment.
  • Wardrobes, drawers etc. should be emptied and contents should be washed at 60 degrees or above for 1 hour minimum and dried in a hot air dryer.
  • Make arrangements for your family and pets to be away from your home for a few hours (Note: babies, young children, pregnant women and and people with respiratory problems should not return to the home for at least 4 hours after treatment).

Step 3 - What we’ll do during your service

  • The pest control technician will complete a full pest-risk assessment prior to conducting any treatment.
  • Be prepared to explain to the pest control technician exactly where you are seeing pests—or have seen them in the past.
  • Customers and pets must vacate the premises during the treatment. Re-enter the space only when the treatment has completely dried, approximately 2-4 hours after. (Note: babies, young children, pregnant women and and people with respiratory problems should not return to the home for at least 4 hours after treatment).
  • Our technician will place a waterproof cover between the mattress and the bed sheet to reduce the risk of making contact with any pesticide residue.

Step 4 - After your service:

  • Bed bug activity may still be present for several days after initial treatment but will decline over the following weeks .
  • Do not vacuum floors and upholstery for at least 10 -14 days.
  • After two weeks, vacuum to remove all dead insects and ensure vacuum filters are emptied and vacuum bags are disposed of immediately.
  • Your technician will provide you with a pest treatment report outlining the work completed on your property. This will include recommendations and measures to take to avoid a re-infestation in your home or business.
