How to Get Rid of Moths

A moth problem can be very damaging for any business or organisation. Especially if you are in food, clothes or other fabric businesses as the presence of moths can ruin many stocks.

They can contaminate stored products or foodstuffs, and an untreated infestation may cause product recalls and loss of contracts which can lead to financial loss and bad company reputation. They can also damage process equipment and machinery, or even ruin priceless and irreplaceable artefacts at historic areas.

There are a number of things you can immediately do to help get rid of moths:

• Start vacuuming regularly in the affected area to remove all the larvae.

• Thoroughly wash all your clothes and other fabrics in the infected area, such as bed sheets, linen and blankets.

• Clean all affected wardrobes, cupboards and drawers, especially cracks and crevices where eggs might be hiding.

• Clean suitcases, bags and containers as more eggs or larvae might be hidden in it.
