Rentokil's Anti-Dengue Campaign

Last October 6, 2015, in line with celebrating the company’s 50th year in providing expert pest management and hygiene service in the country, Rentokil Initial Philippines’ technical and support team together with key personnel led by Ms. Ederine Gee Geneblazo treated and educated the community of Manggahan Extension and Sapang Bato regarding the risk and prevention of dengue as well as the environmental science that surrounds the life cycle, behavior and nature of mosquitoes to further their knowledge on how to deal with the dengue virus-carrying pest.

The impetus for the event was a case of dengue that eventually resulted to the demise of a young child which could’ve been prevented by pest control and proper hygiene. As part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility, Rentokil Initial Philippines voluntarily offered the service and treatment for free because we believe that everyone is a stakeholder in caring for lives of each individual.

In line with this altruistic program as well as the company’s value of SHE (Safety, Health and Environment), and taking pride on its 50th year of service and experience in pest management and initial hygiene not only in commercial organizations but also in residential sections, Rentokil Initial Philippines is looking forward to engaging in more humanitarian activities that would help educate, safeguard and secure the health and well-being of the community and its inhabitants from pests and improper hygiene.

This philanthropic movement and program is made possible by Rentokil Initial Philippines – Protecting People, Enhancing Lives; Mr. Elmer C Maturan, MD, leader of Barangay Bagumbayan QC; Ms. Carla Ong and Mr. Roli Sabado, Managing head of We Care Ministry of Christ Commission Fellowship (CCF Eastwood branch); and Alog and Company.
