Too Little Or Too Much Pest Control That Is The Question

ethics are important in pest control tooI recently went to a pest control conference in Cape Town and was thrilled to hear that the issue of ethics is a big one in South Africa – and globally.

I totally agree with the movement away from over-using chemicals to a more ‘green’ environment. This would ultimately mean that the use of chemicals is lessened to the extent where an integrated pest management programme would minimise infestations or outbreaks.

I wish all pest control companies in South Africa would follow the lead in this new global movement towards responsible pest control, rather than just having to respond when the infestations are rife. An article appeared in the The Times that show the need for more responsible pest control and how out of hand things can get when IPM is not implemented.

    Thanks for nice post !
When it comes to household pests, cockroaches are at the top of my disgusting list. They are dirty and smelly, and they leave droppings, body parts, and shed skins lying around.

Interesting article. A more green approach to all types of working environments is important.

Do Rentokil use products / chemicals they classify as ‘green’?
