The longest earthworm lives in Australia, it is called the Giant Gippsland earthworm. I think the largest specimen was something about 4 meters long. It is also the only earthworm species to have a museum dedicated only to itself and an annual festival.

But we even have some records in Europe. the largest landliving slug, Limax cinereoniger, can grow up to 30cm. Would not want to meet them in my garden.

The longest parasite in the world is the tapeworm, usually found in animals (often livestock) and passed to humans in areas of poor sanitation around the world. The longest tapeworm taken out of a human was 37 feet long (according to urban internet legend)!!! A Whale-Tapeworm can apparently be upto 40m / 120ft long!
